WOW!!! Flowers at school...
Colin ended up doing GREAT on both days at his swim meet...we had a really good time! On the second day he ended up winning another medal for 8th place in the 25 yard breaststroke. He won 9th place in the 50 yard backstroke. We are so excited with what is to come with him...he only started on this swim team in August. He is a very determined competative little boy. The boys 8 and under group ended up winning the meet...because they had the most points. Since we had to leave on Sunday as soon as Colin was finished (because Jason and Kennedy had a stomach virus) they waited to take a group picture until Tuesday at swim so Colin could be there. It will be in the newspaper sometime later this week or next.

100 yard freestyle 149.35 sec. 15th place
25 yard backstroke 22.96 sec. 13th place
50 yard breaststroke 58.10 sec. 7th place
25 yard freestyle 19.79 sec. 16th place
25 yard breaststroke 25.69 sec. 8th place
50 yard freestyle 45.76 sec. 15th place
25 yard butterfly 24.91 sec. 14th place
50 yard backstroke 49.60 sec. 9th place...he was so mad after this one...he wanted to place at least 8th so he could get a medal.
WOW!! What a great day...Colin did so good. He placed 1st in his heat on 3 of the races he did today and 3rd on one...in case you don't know how this works I will TRY to explain. There are ususally about 4 groups that swim in the same race and there are only 1o lanes in the pool they have to break them down...heat 1 is ususally "no time" racers (kids who have never raced before). Then heat two is racers with times but are not the fastest racers and all the way to heat 4 with the fastest swimmers. From all of these groups of about 32-35 or so swimmers they take the fastest times...the top 8 in each race gets a medal...(this is really a big deal). Colin will get at least one medal tomorrow for the 50 meter breaststroke...since he placed 7th overall. On the other 3 he swam in he placed anywhere from 12-14..I think! I will be finalized tomorrow. I will list in the next few days all of the events he swam in and his times...and of course there will be more pictures to come after tomorrows race!!! We hope he does as well tomorrow...he is sort of getting the "big head" now that he knows he is getting a medal...we are trying really hard to tone him down! :)
We went to pick up Kennedy's glasses today...she was so excited once she put them on. As we were driving down the road she was reading signs and making funny little comments. She said "I didn't know trees had such detail"!! She did eventually get a headache because she kept taking them off and putting them back on again and again and again. I tried to make it as exciting as possible for her...I suprised her with the new Vera Bradley Raspberry Fizz eyeglass case before we went in to pick up her glasses! 
Did you know that if you wear underwear on your head it could make it snow??? The kids came home from school one day and put these on their heads hoping for just a little bit of snow...Colin said that he would wear them as long as they were clean :) Unfortunately it did not work!
